Eligibility Criteria for MAT May session
The organising committee will ensure that candidates meet two minimal eligibility requirements before they can sit for the exam: they must complete their degree programme without any backlogs and maintain a respectable cumulative grade point average (CGPA) throughout all semesters. For admission to management studies or MBA programmes, more than 600 B-Schools throughout the nation will accept MAT 2023 results.
- The candidates may select up to five colleges for admission at initially; if they decide to select more than five schools, they will be required to pay INR 118 per college.
- Candidates must be citizens of this nation and meet the requirements for the applicable age range in order to sit for this test.
- Both CBT and PBT exam options are available to them, and the results from the more successful ones are taken into account.
MAT May Application Form
Candidates who want to enrol in the MBA programme must pass one of the management entrance tests, such as the CMAT, MAT, CAT, GMAT, XAT, and others. Candidates must use the internet platform to complete the MAT 2023 application form by going to their official page and clicking the link to the next phase of the application procedure. The admit card for each applicant will be made available on the internet once the application forms have been submitted and confirmed by the authorities.
According to the most recent exam material, registrations will be accepted for the tests starting in the first week of March and must be submitted within the allotted time frame. Students can partially fill out the application form through their MAT account and store it to finish it later. It is advised that students thoroughly understand their eligibility or qualification requirements before moving forward with the application process.
Steps to fill MAT 2023 registration via online
Step 1: Registration through online mode
The desired applicants can register for the forthcoming session by going to the MAT 2023 official website. In order for the confirmation email to be received and the application form number to be generated, they will need to create their login and password. The candidates can begin filling out the application form by dialling this number.
Step 2: MAT Application Form filling
Please fill out the details in the provided areas for the applicants, including their educational background, age, personal information, method of examination, location, and subject. In order to make it simple for the AIMA authorities to approve the test centres, they will also need to select three accessible exam centres on the application form.
Step 3: Attachment of Scanned documents digitally
It is crucial for the students to attach or upload the required applicant papers after filling out the data, along with their picture and signature. This has to be scanned first, after which it should be submitted to the application form in the provided or required format. After verifying all the information provided, the applicants will move on to the last phase.
Step 4: Payment of Application fee
Only if the candidates pay for an application form will the entire application submission procedure be finished. Payment for the MAT application fee must be submitted online using a debit or credit card, net banking, UPI, an e-wallet, or IMPS. The application cost for the MAT 2023 is around 1550 INR for both the computer-based and paper-based exams separately. However, the application cost would be roughly 2600 INR if the individual chooses to take the exam in both forms.
Note: The applicants must keep the electronic receipt that will be produced automatically and delivered to them when the payment transaction is complete. This needs to be kept private since it could be questioned at a later stage of the investigation. Within a few minutes of the transaction being performed, the receipt will be delivered; if not, the payment is intended to be void. If an applicant makes several payments, the money will be returned to them within 7–10 business days.
The following are some of the necessary fields that must be filled out along with uploading images and signing the document:
- Name of the student
- Candidate's Parents name
- Current Address
- Candidate's date of birth
- Candidate's Educational Qualification
- Category of the candidate
- Scanned copy of passport-sized photograph and signature
- Candidate's email address and contact number
- Marks’s card of 10+2 board exams
- Degree certificate (Provisional is also accepted)
MAT May Syllabus & Exam Pattern

- The entire test is broken into five portions, each of which has 40 questions.
- There are around 200 questions in all, and according to the marking method, each accurate response will be worth one mark, while each incorrect response will be worth 0.25 fewer points.

MAT May 2023 Results & Score Card
Following the exam, the May session of MAT 2023 will be made available as appropriate. AIMA will notify the precise date for the result announcement when it is completed. As of right now, because the test will be given on March 24, 2023, the results of the March session will be made public by the end of the month. The outcome will be posted on the website itself, so you should check it out there. Applicants must go to the test website, submit their application number and exam roll number for verification, and then get their specific result cards. The exam organisers will mail the attempted candidates' score/rank cards; they may preserve a physical copy or print out of the result card and store it safely for future use.
For the time being, the scorecard will be accessible on the test page after the results for the Feb session of MAT 2023 are released on March 31, 2023. The authorities have not yet released the precise day on which the results for the March session of MAT 2023 will be available online.
If a student does not get an offer of admission within a year after receiving their MATS 2023 results, they must retake the MAT test the following year.
MAT May 2023 Admit Card
A week before the test, admit cards for the MAT 2023 May session will be made available only online. Although the specific dates for the issuance of the May session admission cards are yet unknown, the enrolled candidates will be informed of them. When the admission card is released, the applicants must carefully review the information printed on it; if modifications need to be made, they must be done as soon as possible and informed to the applicants. Since the admit card is one of the crucial papers needed to sit for the test, applicants can get one up to the day before the test. The candidates will not be allowed to write the exam if they don't carry this admit card or one photo ID.
MAT May 2023 Counselling & Admission
As there is no independent counselling procedure run by the government, students must engage in the admission process of the interested institute. However, some business schools and management colleges will schedule a group discussion or a personal interview before deciding whether to admit an applicant. Admission to both MBA and PGDM management programmes is based on MAT results.
The candidates' scores on the admission exam serve as the primary criterion for seat allocation. The students must provide their authentic certificates and documentation for verification after those eligibility requirements have been satisfied; else, the admissions process will be invalid.
Cutoff Predictor
Once the results are released, AIMA, the test's governing body, will make the MAT cut-off criterion known. This information is also available on the exam website. Here, students must achieve the minimum cut-off scores in order to be admitted to the institutions of their choice.
The candidates will be chosen based on these cut-off scores, taking into account factors like the total number of seats available, the total number of students taking the test, etc.
